Final Fantasy XIV director/producer Naoki “Yoshi-P” Yoshida addressed fans in his latest Letter from the Producer with some disappointing news — a new trailer will be absent from this year’s E3. The original roadmap to Version 2.0 had set the trailer for E3, but the team opted to wait until August to reveal the trailer so that information can be released in a burst rather than a trickle.
While Final Fantasy XIV 2.0 will still be present at this year’s E3, coverage may be limited. Yoshi-P confirmed that Visual Works — responsible for the game’s first opening cinematic and many of Square Enix’s amazing cinematics, have created new work for the 2.0 trailer.
A likely venue to see the trailer is Gamescom — the place where Final Fantasy XIV gameplay was first revealed, and nestled in the middle of August on the 15th through the 1819th.

give SE a mile, and they make you run two so you can see their happy faces at the end.. -_-
I thought Yoshi was hear to not break promises? Especially the biggest promise he could make for FFXIV thus far.
Pretty pathetic how they can’t utilize the biggest stage of gaming on trying to revitilize FFXIV.
That’s SE for u.
I think it’s better they’re delaying it.
I really think it would have been pushed aside at E3.
Seriously, the only thing related to Final Fantasy will be Theathrythm?
Square Enix should be ashamed…
Come on, they have yet to show Type-0, Versus XIII, XIV 2.0, X HD…
