A Shroud Reborn

December 3rd, 2012 by Tony Garsow

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn‘s zones have been redone from the ground up, but that doesn’t only include how they look. Composer Masayoshi Soken lends his talents for the new soundtrack; a fan improvisation of the new music that plays in the Black Shroud can be heard in the video above. The game’s original soundtrack (as heard in Eorzean Frontiers) which featured music by Nobuo Uematsu will remain intact, but placed a bit differently than those who played Version 1.0 will expect.

A second wave of Final Fantasy XIV alpha invitations hit inboxes around the globe early this morning as the testing phase progresses. If you haven’t yet received an invitation, keep an eye on your inbox throughout December before alpha comes to a close — you may yet have a chance!
