The Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn global media tour continues this week in San Francisco, where the team will be presenting more information about the game ahead of Beta Phase 1 this month. We’ll be getting more information soon on the MMORPGs progress, as well as a variety of new systems that will be implemented in beta and before the eventual release. Square Enix decked out the conference room to get it a real Eorzean vibe, complete with Grand Company banners strung from the ceiling.
The community team, as demonstrated in the following pictures, take on the new content available for beta. This includes a brand-new dungeon (everyone /comfort Foxclon for wiping the group) and Full Active Time Events (FATEs) that will introduce dynamic events to Eorzea for players to group together and undertake. The screenshots below from the team show off a bit of the Thanalan region in the south of Eorzea, as well as a controller mode for PC-version players.
Beta Phase 1 is scheduled to begin this month, with the full game slated for later this year.
