Final Fantasy XIV PS3 coming to TGS

August 29th, 2012 by Tony Garsow

This year’s Tokyo Game Show is right around the corner — next month on the 20th through the 23rd, in fact. With the recent reveal of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, some fans have been wondering about the PS3 version that didn’t make it for the original release. Well, the PS3 version will be at TGS according to this week’s issue of Famitsu.

A special interface will be tailored for play with a controller and USB keyboard (for chat, we assume), with notable differences being the targeting and ability bar. The number of main active abilities that you’ll use frequently in combat will be kept around eight, though we’re not sure if that means a consolidation of abilities or a method to activate them. Currently, Final Fantasy XIV PC supports gameplay with a controller.

Are you waiting for the PS3 version of Final Fantasy XIV in particular? Do you play the PC version with a controller or do you prefer the old standby: mouse and keyboard? Let us know by leaving a comment.

I’am so hype for this so much! i just hope we get to see new class Arcanist/summoner. I woundering if it be like FFXI or better and when is 2.0 beta date really. Excited to see more news on 2.0.

I will miss the current game but 2.0 seem’s much more realistic. Looking forward to it!
