Team XIV is commencing the next phase of alpha testing for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, which will not only include Japan but fans across the globe. Currently, only players in Japan are being sent alpha test acceptance emails — but for fans abroad, mail will be sent according to when the testing phase is about to begin. You will be notified when the test schedule with a reasonable amount of time to download the new client.

If, however, you aren’t chosen for this round of alpha testing there will be more (and we assume broader) test phases as we approach the release date of A Realm Reborn. You can still apply for the alpha by visiting the application site here. If you have applied, be sure to keep an eye on your email!
