Details for the Final Fantasy XIV In-game Anniversary Event “The Rising” Have Been Revealed

August 25th, 2017 by Raptorchan

Starting August 27th, Final Fantasy XIV will be celebrating it’s Four-Year Anniversary, and with it returns the in-game event “The Rising.” The event will run until September 14th.

The Lodestone was updated with further details of the event, showcasing two new Wind-Up Minions: Gosetsu and Lyse! There is also a new in-door furnishing item for housing, a Rising Balloon, and new a beautiful floral Magicked Prism.

There will also be two in-game Orchestrion Rolls available to obtain, the main theme song for Stormblood – “Revolutions” and, at long last: “Answers – Reprise.” Players who have attended previous Rising events will know this song as the haunting but beautiful echoed version of the main theme for A Realm Reborn – “Answers.” For 1.0 Veterans, it has a whole other meaning, as it was the melody that played all across Eorzea during the final hours of the original iteration of Final Fantasy XIV.

To begin the questline for the event, players need only to travel to the main city of Ul’dah on the 27th and search for the NPC Nonora in the Ruby Road Exchange.

You can find further information and the location for Nonora on the official website for the event.

Happy Anniversary Final Fantasy XIV!

The first orchestrion roll is not “Revolutions” but “Stormblood”, the theme that plays during the opening movie.
