Final Fantasy XIII is available today for PC via Steam. Over four years since its debut on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, the game is the first entry under the Fabula Nova Crystallis banner. This version will include both English and Japanese audio, with the option of English, French, Italian, German and Spanish text.

A reasonable price tag of $15.99 and a 10% pre-purchase discount has proven to be popular amongst Steam users willing to give one of the series’ more contentious games a go.

Square Enix’s big push for Final Fantasy games on PC lately has left some to speculate if future titles will come to the platform in a more timely fashion — specifically Final Fantasy Type-0 HD and Final Fantasy XV.

The company’s broadening scope of platforms for its Japan-developed titles also includes smartphones, with the recently-announced DiveIn service bringing what we consider “sit-down-and-play-at-home” console games to Japanese smartphone users. While Final Fantasy XIII‘s debut on DiveIn has been delayed, all three titles and other Final Fantasy entires will be available through it in the near future.

You can view Final Fantasy XIII‘s official Steam listing (including minimum and recommended specs) here.

Have you guy reached out to SE, so they can fix all the issues with the game. Maybe they can release 1080p patch for gameplay and the cut scenes. Maybe that can release a tweet as that they are working on a fix, or maybe they can say something.

From what I’ve heard, a fan named Durante has released something that may help:

I heard about Durante, but he can only go so far. He can’t make the game 100% stable above the 720p lock. So we need SE to fix their shoddy Final Fantasy XIII port. If they fix it then it will sale again, but till then SE is going to have a though time gain fans trust on their PC titles.
