From August 31st to September 2nd, Square Enix Japan will be holding a special Final Fantasy 25th Anniversary event that will feature the existing franchise as well as developments on future titles. Most notable of which will be a panel with Final Fnatasy XIII/XIII-2 director Motomu Toriyama, producer Yoshinori Kitase, and art director Isamu Kamikokuryou on new developments.
Titled “Final Fantasy XIII Lightning’s Saga – New Developments Presentation”, it is widely expected that a new game announcement in the XIII series will be revealed.
Final Fantasy XIV director/producer Naoki “Yoshi-P” Yoshida will also be on hand to reveal more of Final Fantasy XIV 2.0, and we speculate that the debut of the new version’s trailer will make an appearance. Final Fantasy XI will also be represented, as this year is also the game’s 10th anniversary — including a performance by Nanaa Mihgo’s.
A live episode of Square Enix Channel will be recorded featuring the staff of Final Fantasy Type-0: director Hajime Tabata and art director Yusuke Naora.
