Final Fantasy XIII-2 PC Out Dec 11 on Steam

November 11th, 2014 by Tony Garsow

Final Fantasy XIII-2 will be coming to PCs on December 11th, 2014. Touting “new features and enhancements” according to a trailer Square Enix hosted, then removed this morning. (Update: You can now watch the trailer above.)

Based on feedback of Final Fantasy XIII‘s release on Steam, Square Enix has included an option to customize a rendering resolution, citing “720p, 1080p, and more”. The game will also support 60 frames-per-second from launch. Final Fantasy XIII-2 will run you $19.99, but preorder on Steam and you’ll get 10% off.

The sequel to Final Fantasy XIII originally released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 back in early 2012. You can read our review of the game by clicking here.

Square Enix plans to bring the entire trilogy to the PC platform, with Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII slated for this coming Spring.

I recommend anyone that hasn’t really enjoyed FF13 and hated FFX-2 to give this one a shot. Otherwise you’ll miss out on one of Final Fantasy’s best villains to date (IMO)

“Enjoy the All-time RPG classic?” What the **** does that mean? And XIII-2 is not a classic, no I don’t think so. Lol at SE’s blind pride.

What next, Lightning Returns will be “Return to Gaming Nirvana of FF’s All-Time Masterpiece” lmao

It is a classic to me =) and another chapter on a always great franchise

I’m wondering which DLC they plan to include, does anyone know? All they’re saying at the moment is “a range of downloadable content from the original console.” It’s also not clear if you can purchase more DLC, so if you know about that, that would be nice to know as well.
