Interesting news coming this evening. Square Enix has just announced one of the first pieces of DLC for the game, a costume for one of the leads, Noel Kreiss. However, it is not a conventional costume, especially for Final Fantasy!
The costume is based off the character Ezio Auditore from the Assassins Creed Series (most recently Assassins Creed Revelations). Click the thumbnail below to enlarge for an artwork rendering of the costume.
Keep in mind, DLC Costumes will show up in both game play as well as cut scenes, thanks to XIII-2′s rendering of everything in real time. So what do you think? Personally, I think it makes Noel look awesome, and I have always been a fan of the Assassins Creed Series. It’s an interesting idea.

Um… This was unexpected.. lol
Funny, Caius and his soul-edge, and now Noel dressing as the guest character for soul caliber. hmmm~!
This might have been cool if it was Altair’s costume.
@Cody Noel’s costume is from Assassin’s Creed, not Soul Calibur.
Ubisoft just lost some points with me. Why would they ever lend SE the costume so that they can make a mockery of it by giving to this Noel guy?
I think it would look pretty cool on him, I definitely like it more than his original outfit. This just makes me think will there be anymore outfits from other games as well in Final Fantasy XIII-2.
The detail on the armor is beautiful. *U*

Replaced the image with unwatermakred, HUGE version. Click on it to see full resolution, very nicely detailed : D awesome
@whami what Cody saying is that ezio is a guest character featuring in soul caliber. Plus the similarity of the sword. Anyway great news! I think square should also do cameo costumes like how “tales of” do. Like serah in FCC yuna cloths or something. I would so buy that!
Dang dumb keyboard. I meant ffx not FCC. Lol
@whamigubadudududududah:
Altair will be SCV guest character, thats what Cody was trying to say :/
@Von Well, it wasn’t that obvious, the comment is implying that the character is from Soul Calibur
@whamigubadudududududah
Lol, it specifically says “as the guest character from soul caliber”.
Not to mention I made the comment about Caius’s sword being so similar to the soul-edge. It’s just funny
What the….oh please, not another game with crossovers!! Well, I love Assassin’s Creed and I like this costume, but I also fear that this will lead to more and more stupid crossovers (has anyone mentioned Soul Calibur?)
did not expect ubisoft to b n on this
@wilson
Y U No Spell Gud?
it looks fine and all, but after dropping 70 bucks for the CE, I’m not giving them any more money.
only thing that would dumber would be if Noel had any of Sora’s outfits. personally i’d rather them not use outside sources except for easter egg referances like that one of Here Lies Link.
wow amazing & funny loooooooool
hahaha nice nice I love it
This almost look like the Sadaku army troops Uniform in type 0.
not bad i guess.
Noel’s New Costume is from another video game i haven’t played Assassins Creed video game at all.
To the people asking why Ubisoft would allow this: They didn’t. In Japan, Square-Enix also owns Assassin’s Creed. As such, it’s unknown as to whether this will make it to other regions. I personally doubt Ubisoft will allow it in the United States, but here’s hoping they do.
