FFXI Introduces Double Experience Weekend

January 31st, 2013 by Tony Garsow

Square Enix is kicking off a Double Experience Campaign that will reward denizens of Vana’diel with — you guessed it: double experience points from slaying monsters. This goes for all areas sans Abyssea zones. Equipment that affords a player extra experience will also have its parameters buffed, but experience awarded through completion of content will remain the same. This also includes items that boost your experience gain.

The event will kick off bright and early next Friday and conclude the following Monday morning, so if you’re planning to do a bit of leveling before the new Seekers of Adoulin expansion arrives, now is your chance. The times listed below are via the PlayOnline newsletter:

Start: Friday, February 8th @ 7:00AM US Pacific Standard Time
End: Monday, February 11th @ 6:59AM US Pacific Standard Time

The official Seekers of Adoulin website updated recently with new information about the Geomancer job class, accompanied with new music and information about what to expect on your travels through Ulbuka. You can check it out by clicking here.

Final Fantasy XI: Seekers of Adoulin, the newest expansion, releases on March 26th.
