FFXI 10th Anniversary — Composers’ Interview

On September 20th, Square Enix held a special concert in Berkeley, California to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Final Fantasy XI. Two of the game’s composers: Naoshi Mizuta (whom also worked on Final Fantasy XIII-2) and Kumi Tanioka (previously composing for Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles) were interviewed about their history with music, composing for Final Fantasy XI, and which songs are their favorites.

The newest expansion for Final Fantasy XI entitled Seekers of Adoulin will further grow the world of Vana’diel, including its soudtrack. In addition to exploring the continent of Ulbuka, two new jobs: the Rune Fencer and Geomancer will be added to the game’s vast repertoire of jobs. Seekers of Adoulin will release some time next year.

    Tch, sure, celebrate the anniversary of VII and XI but not any other FF like VIII and IX.

    dude, FFVII and XI are very important installments in the series for obvious reasons.

    on topic: i cant wait to hear new themes of FFXI soundtrack from this expansion, my goddness does XI sound great!
