Yusuke Naora’s Art of Final Fantasy X/X-2

March 25th, 2014 by Tony Garsow

Earlier this month, Square Enix held a special gallery event to showcase the artwork of Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2 ahead of HD Remaster’s release. At Gallery Nucleus in Los Angeles, art director Yusuke Naora created a new piece in front of a crowd of fans. Drawing parallels from a disaster that befalls Kilika in Final Fantasy X to the devastation of last year’s Typhoon Haiyan in the Phillipines, the team decided for the artwork to be auctioned off to the highest bidder with all proceeds going to relief effort.

While Naora created the piece, he answered questions from fans as seen in the video above. Other artists that contributed to the game had their artwork on display including: Tetsuya Nomura, Isamu Kamikokuryou, Toshitaka Matsuda, and others.

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster is now available worldwide for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.
