Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster Videos Vol. III

December 12th, 2013 by Tony Garsow

A third round of new Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster videos are now available, featuring the upgraded visuals and remastered soundtrack. Coming in March of next year to overseas fans, the games will also include the International content from their Japanese re-releases. For those of us in North America, the International content in both games never made the jump across the pond — until now.

You can view the new videos above and in the following links:

Volume 9: Kimahri
Volume 10: Auron
Volume 11: Aeons
Volume 12: Old Friends
Volume 13: Yuna’s Wedding

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster will release on December 26th in Japan, followed by March 18 release in North America and March 21 in Europe. Launch details for the PlayStation Vita versions (sold separately) are forthcoming. You can also pre-order the game to upgrade to the Limited Edition, which includes a hardcover art book.

I really like how some of these remixed/mastered songs sound. Particularly “Auron’s Theme” and “Movement in Green”.

  • Geir

The in-game graphics when Yuna’s moving around in the wedding scene looks so good. Also, that remastered music is really promising. I seriously can’t wait to play this. Please … fix the lip syncing though. Pleeeeease.

  • Jeels

The music sounds so good. Hope X-2 got the same treatment!

  • Tony Garsow

Final Fantasy X-2 HD’s OST won’t be remastered in the same way this was, because both of the composers for that game have since retired. However, what they did do is replace the in-game music with the OST’s better quality bitrate. So it’ll sound the same, but nicer.

  • Jeels

That’s fine by me. The music is still great and I appreciate better sound quality.

I really like how ‘summoned beast battle’ sounds. they remixed it for dissidia 012 a few years ago and I didn’t really like it. this new sound track is looking pretty good so far! :)

  • surakian

    Aren’t they called Aeons?

  • Shadow

    Eidolons lol

  • Tony Garsow

    Yes, they are. 😉

  • Tony Garsow

Yeah, the original YT video said “Eidolons” and I transcribed it without realizing. ;p

  • Daniel Masterson

i am sure they will! they wouldn’t spend all this time to release an inferior version, this will be the ultimate FF X collection!
