Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster E3 Trailer

June 11th, 2013 by Tony Garsow

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD is coming to the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita this year, and Square Enix has released a brand-new trailer of in-game footage. How does it stack up to the original? Leave us a comment with your thoughts below!

    @Tony you mean Ps Vita on second ps3 typo right?

    The Trailerlook awesome, I like the new hud for battle, it look great.

  • AnimaMagna

    Have they been doing some lip-syncing?

  • Bekas

    I like the new look for the battle scenes (HP, MP, damage) but the only character that seem to retain some sort of emotion are the ones who didn’t have their faces remodeled, such as Rikku and Lulu.

    Tidus and Yuna now have perfect poker faces; the scene of Yuna talking to Yunalesca made that clear.

    At least they seem – SEEM – to have worked a little on the lip-sync.

    @anony Yes, PSVita. That was a typo. :)

    Never played FFX but gonna try this ;D look awesome! …

    @bekas

    I can definitely see the loss of emotion in Yuna’s face for that scene. Compared to the original scene, the only difference is the that the subtle animations seen in brow furrowing and eye narrowing are just missing which makes her face seem less emotive.

    This isn’t consistent though because I noticed that other scenes shown in the trailer had the more detailed eye animations, etc. comparable to the original game. It’s more likely that they just aren’t done reanimating this scene with the new models so I hope it will be fixed before release.

    Final Fantasy X is one of my favorite games! I almost can’t wait!!

    Definitely looks like a remastered version… I personally don’t see an incredibly amount of improvement. At least the game will run smoother and less glitchy than before. For that alone, i might just pick this up :)
