Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster will be coming to the PlayStation 4 on May 12th of this year, Square Enix announced today. In this new version, Square Enix has included additional features to the PlayStation 3 version, such as the ability to toggle between the original and remastered soundtrack, Remote Play functionality with PlayStation Vita. You will also be able to transfer your saves from the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita version to pick up where you left off on PlayStation 4.

Square Enix has also announced a limited edition that will include boxart by Yoshitaka Amano, desktop calendar, and art cards.

    Are those PS4 screens?

  • Graham Polley

What else would they be? haha.

  • AgitoXIII

The toggle music feature should have been in the original version. Shame they waited this long for that feature. Question does anyone know if the box art by Amano is a brand new exclusive picture by him?

  • Tony Garsow

    Yes, indeed!

  • Tony Garsow

It’s not new, I believe I’ve seen it in one of the Amano art books.

  • AnimaMagna

“Final Fantsy”. Must be a new franchise using X as a base.

  • Daniel Masterson

    Triple dip here I come!

  • Daniel Masterson

You are right. Its just one of the original artworks he did for the game. I have it in my collection of his works called ‘The Sky’.

  • Joey Quintero

    Please have cut scene skips

  • Jack

These look just like the ps3…why is fish face still a thing on a ps4 port? I hope it has 60fps or something to make it feel next gen

  • Josh Asher

why triple? you got it both on Vita and Ps3? geez

  • Daniel Masterson

ya I have the Vita version (which I play the most) and the PS3 version cause they had a collectors edition and I collect and now with the cross save and new features its definitely worth it to me.

  • Josh Asher

would be cool to play it on vita I guess, but buying it once is enough for me. I got it on ps3 so passing on the PS4 version, just don’t really see the point or care about minor new features
