Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster will be out before the Holidays in Japan, according to the newest issue of VJump which reveals a December 19th, 2013 release date. Originally debuting on the PlayStation 2 over ten years ago, both games will be available on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita (sold separately).
Both games will include remastered visuals which include character models, interfaces, and environments. The game’s original staff have directed the development of the HD version, including many of the composers who have contributed in the remastered score you can hear above. Both games will include the International content that was originally released only in Japan (save for Final Fantasy X International in Europe).
A release date for North America and Europe has yet to surface (as expected) but particulars may be announced soon.
Update: The newest issue of VJump does not confirm this launch date for Japan, thus leading us to believe that this news was fake.
