Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Collector’s Edition

December 16th, 2013 by Tony Garsow

Fans in North America will be able to get their hands on a Collector’s Edition for Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster, out March 18th of next year. Included will be special packaging, a 40-page artbook, 5 lithographs, a “visual” soundtrack Blu-ray featuring the remastered music of Final Fantasy X. The Collector’s Edition will only be available for the PlayStation 3 version of the game.

The Collector’s Edition is exclusive to the Square Enix Online Store for $79.99.

For PlayStation Vita owners, you’ll get Final Fantasy X HD Remaster on the game’s physical card, and a voucher for a digital download of Final Fantasy X-2 HD Remaster through PlayStation Network. Both games will have Cross Save functionality, so you’ll be able to import your saves to either PS3 or Vita and continue where you left off.

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster will release on December 26th in Japan, followed by March 18 release in North America and March 21 in Europe.

  • With this and the LR CE coming out at almost the same time, sure, I can afford not to pay rent for a month..!

I can’t tell you how I excited I am that they also announced this Collector’s Edition! For the first time americans can have FF X international versions of both games and in a nice package. It only took 12 years but it has finally come and I’m not sad to admit I dropped most of my Christmas money on this and the Lightning Returns CE. Merry Holidays!!

May i make a question important to me? please respond! ….i want to pre-order the collector`s edition of HD is only at the square enix online store…but the question is…im from mexico, i want the game in spanish subtitles…do they send me the latin american version?!!?!? to BUY IT RIGHT NOW!

  • AgitoXIIIq

    Sooo theres a LE AND a CE? I’m confused…

  • Tiamod

Okay….Kinda annoying that I already preordered the limited edition. why can’t they announce these earlier? It’s bad enough that it’s A S-E store exclusive, and I’ve already cancelled my LR:XIII preorder for Its Collector’s Edition. Now this? Ugh. Sorry, Square, you make things too much of a hassle, and I can’t afford a total of $70 increase from my initial preorders for the upcoming FF games. I’ll have to make due with the LE version of this game.

It doesn’t look good. For $80 you get the worst cover art (opinions, but seriously, the Limited Edition cover tops this), the inferior artbook (NA gets 40 page, Eurobros reported for getting 48 page with Special Message), a reportedly incomplete soundtrack on Blu-Ray, and five lithographs. Definitely not worth the money, I’m sticking with Limited Edition.

Sorry I have to completely disagree with you there. I do like the limited edition cover art but to me I have always just wanted the titles art on a white background so for that to come out on the Collector’s Edition makes me very excited.
