Another Look at Final Fantasy X-2 HD

Final Fantasy X-2 HD Remaster is set to release in Japan in just a few short weeks for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, followed by a March release next year. Square Enix has shared new images from the remastered sequel that give us a better idea of what to expect visually.

Fans overseas can expect the International version’s content that was never localized in this HD Remaster, including Creature Create, a monster-taming system in which you can use many of the game’s Fiends and NPCs in your party. Also included is Last Mission, an additional chapter after the conclusion of Final Fantasy X-2 that has players ascend the Yadonoki Tower.

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster will release on December 26th in Japan, followed by March 18 release in North America and March 21 in Europe. Launch details for the PlayStation Vita versions (sold separately) are forthcoming. You can also pre-order the game to upgrade to the Limited Edition, which includes a hardcover art book.

Can’t wait for Last Mission. Do, do hope that it’s in English. I saw a translation of it and it seemed to be extremely potent when compared to some scenes in X-2. Also, that 30 minute coda is growing more intriguing by the month.

So excited for this! X-2 gets a lot of flak but I am as excited to play this as i was waiting for this to release back in 2003! March can’t come soon enough, thankfully I have Lightning Returns to keep me comfy for a month before i dive into this!

I’m actually most excited for the Creature Create system!

I don’t care what people say, Paine is one of my favourite FF females (awesome design btw) and with a bit more character development she could probably have beat Lightning’s popularity. Anyway I’m really excited for this game.
