Final Fantasy X + X-2 At Gallery Nucleus

March 17th, 2014 by Tony Garsow

Over the past weekend, Square Enix hosted a Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster-themed art gallery at Gallery Nucleus in Los Angeles. Hundreds of fans were able to glimpse the artworks of the team of artists that original designed the characters and world of Spira. Producer Yoshinori Kitase and art director Yusuke Naora attended to sign merchandise for fans and create a live piece to be auctioned off for charity. You can see the result in the image above.

Naora commented that the most difficult part of Final Fantasy X for him to design was the city of Zanarkand — specifically to portray it as a thriving city and then a long-ago ruin.

Other artists’ concept and design works, like those from Tetsuya Nomura, Isamu Kamikokuryou, and Toshitaka Matsuda, were also on display, and Final Fantasy Network was on hand to snap pictures from the event. Check out the extensive gallery below!

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster is available on March 18th in North America and March 21st in Europe for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. You can read our review of Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster here.

Oh, what I’d do to be there.. I swear I’d sell a bodypart. Too bad it was just right after I left Cali.
That foosballtable (or blitzball-table) – I WANT IT!

I want one for myself too, I thought it was a pretty clever idea!

  • Ugh, the eye candy. I would’ve been drooling all over every display.
