As expected, Square Enix kicked off their Gamescom festivities by activating the new PC version of Final Fantasy VII on the EU Square Enix eStore. Purchase, download, enjoy at your leisure, European readers!
What makes this version special? Well, you’ll be able to make use of cloud-based saving to pick up and play where you left off. A Character Booster option will allow you to soup up your party for those looking for a more leisurely playthrough. But for those looking for a challenge, a wealth of achievements will be yours to shoot for.
When the North American version of the game is up for business, we’ll be sure to bring you the latest.
Update: The NA version is now available here.

For those who got it, is worth buying or rather stick with the psx classic?
For those who own it, same translation?
For those reading here, as far as I can tell (without actually purchasing) it looks like the US version is up. Would be good if someone could confirm this.
As for Australians and New Zealanders, looks like we can’t buy this yet, even though we should be able to via the EU Square Enix store.
