Final Fantasy VII Now Available on Steam

July 4th, 2013 by Tony Garsow

Final Fantasy VII was originally ported to the PC back in the 1990s with the help of Eidos, but since then Square Enix has kept re-releases under wraps for the platform for quite sometime. Then, last year, Square Enix re-released the game for PC via their official Square Enix Store. Now, the game is available on Vavle’s Steam platform, ready for purchase at a $11.99 asking price.

The game includes some new features, including an Achievement (36 Steam Achievements) system, Character Booster for those who want a more casual retread, and the ability to save your games to a cloud for easy access on multiple systems. For those inquiring about the game’s music, it includes the original PC version’s synthesized instrumentation rather than the .PSF (PlayStation Sound Format).

Final Fantasy VII is available through Stream today.

So, outside of Boosters and Achievements, which is the better version:

    -Steam
    -VITA

I guess visually VITA will gain any better quality Steam version has because of its small and beautiful screen.

    Anything else? Translation? Content?

And what’s exactly the sound difference? Which sounds worse?
