Final Fantasy V on Game Archives dated

April 4th, 2011 by Tony Garsow

Back in February we learned that the PlayStation version of Final Fantasy V was announced for the PlayStation Network’s “Game Archives” in Japan. Well now we have a date and price point. On Wednesday, April 6th, Japanese PSN users will be able to buy the game for approximately 1200 yen or roughly $14 USD. It should be noted that Final Fantasy V did release on the PlayStation in October of 1999 in North America (PAL territories in 2002) as part of “Final Fantasy Anthology” where it was bundled with Final Fantasy VI.

Update: Square-Enix Europe has announced this title for their PlayStation Network, with the release date pending.

    I don’t like this.
For people who have already played FFV, this release won’t bring anything new.
I think they should take their time and release it with PSP graphics and maybe a DLC costume for Bartz (Goblin Punch is a Blue Mage ability, but no one in DDFF is a Blue Mage… Get it?), Exdeath or even Gilgamesh.
