This week’s VJump features Type-0’s Cid

April 18th, 2011 by Tony Garsow

In the last round of Final Fantasy Type-0 media, we were introduced to Ace, Queen, and their instructor Kurasame. This week we’ll be seeing more of Rem, Machina, and High Commander Cid. Cid Oldstein is the leader of the Byakko nation, and breaks the treaty known as the Pax Codex when he begins to invade other nations for their crystals with his l’Cie soldiers and serves as an antagonist for the Rubrum Peristylium’s students. He will be voiced by Shuichiro Moriyama in the Japanese version.

Machina Knagiri (CV: Hiroshi Kamiya) and Rem Tokimiya (CV: Ryoko Shiraishi) serve alongside the player character as the protagonists and have a special role to play within Type-0. Machina uses a “Bolt Rapier” and has dark brown hair while Rem dual-weilds daggers and has lighter brown hair. We’ll also be seeing some images of Ifrit being summoned in battle.
