Square Enix’s Ultimate Hits line represents the best-selling titles the company has to offer, and it’s customary for the company to roll out a special priced and labelled edition to celebrate it’s success. Available December 6th in Japan, Final Fantasy Type-0 will run for 2940 yen (roughly $37.90 USD). The game joins newly christened Ultimate Hits tiles Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep -Final Mix- and Sime Mori Mori Dragon Quest 3.
Next month will mark the one-year anniversary for Final Fantasy Type-0; no word yet on the localization’s status.

*sigh*
Yes, this is yet another RANT about SE.
Why the F are they not bringing it to America? And I hope that if it does, it’s also retail
I guess they are iffy about bringing it here because psp sales aren’t very good here, and therefor type-0 sales won’t be either.
It makes since on a business level, but out of respect for the North American customers, who dig deep and pay their hard earned money on almost every other Square-enix project (E.g, monthly subscriptions for XI, and XIV, DLC for 13-2, downloadable versions of every FF game on the psn market, and every main series title), we deserve to have at least a psp downloadable version of this game with subtitles, and that is AT LEAST! Our money is just as valuable as theirs and we pay to have these games made when we purchase the ones they release here, so in all honesty Type-0 should be no different.
Its like I’m helping SE fund a game that I’m never going to have the opportunity to buy.. its shameful :/
Bring this to America!!!!!!!
Hope It’d be playable on the Vita…..
Not releasing games outside of Japan does hurt the bottom line. So SE fing release this game to NA, and EU already. Someone should find SE’s head boss’s email and flood it with messages that fans want this game outside of Japan.
Yeah an email to square wouldn’t sound so bad at all XD
We really want the game SQ. Give it to us and we’ll give you cookies!
I don’t understand how other major PSP releases like Crisis Core and Dissidia can be released and this game’s situation is somehow troubled. SE should give overseas fans an update on this game. We know that this is a pretty decent game, VersusXII could be anything at this point.
SE isn’t good at politics….
@AgitoXIII: Well when the games you mentioned were released the state of the PSP here in the west wasnf as bad as it is now, plus both of those games had the fanboy/fanservice working in their favor (crisis core bieng a prequal to the the series best selling title and Dissidia bieng pure fan service to the series as a whole) Type-0 bieng a dual UMD release would be more expensive to release and the game is very text heavy not to mention SE website data would need to be added to the game, AND the fact that the PSP is dead in the west means that from a buisness stand point localizing it would be a bad move
Von, it doesn’t matter that it is text heavy. There are tons of games that are text heavy. With this being the kind of game that it is, with airships, towns, and an epic story, there is without question a successful way to market it in the west, even if it were PSN only at this time. This is the kind of game that long-time fans have been waiting years for, only to be given the middle finger by SE. It’s shameful!
