In another Square Enix Members event today in Japan, Final fantasy developers answered to some questions by fans (reported by famitsu and translated by andriasang). Hajime Tabata (Type-0 Director), Yoshinori Kitase ( Final Fantasy Producer), Yusuke Naora (Type-0 Art Director, Motomu Toriyama(XIII-2 Director) and Isamu Kamikokuryou (XIII-2 Art Director) were present at the event.
Regarding XIII-2, one person asked if characters from FFXIII will be made playable in a future DLC to which Kitase answered that they are looking into it, they want to do what fans want. Another asked if Type-0 school uniforms appear in XIII-2 as DLC to which Kitase said there is a possibility but a bit iffy at the moment.
Regarding Type-0, Tabata said if they make a sequel they are not thinking it will continue Type-0′s story directly but that doesn’t mean there won’t be a direct sequel to Type-0 at some point.
One asked if Class Zero have real names (their names are based on cards, Ace, Jack etc but others in the game have real names), Tabata said they were thinking about having real names initially but stopped. He thinks code names are more mysterious.
Another asked if students in Type-0 live in a dorm. Tabata said this is the case. When the game was in development for cell phones, students had their own rooms. Yusuke Naora revealed that they made visuals for dorm life components but this was cut due to volume issues.

No offence to the person who posted news, but left out the most important info. Tabata said he’s playing Type-0 on the PSVita (before the consoles even out in Japan) and that the graphics look great and there’s right analogue support for the camera.
That’s a blatant hint of an inevitable port to PSVita for the Western market and yet you made not mention of it in your news post… Why?
They probably didn’t include it to make sure there isn’t any misunderstandings over the information. I’ve already seen people jump to conclusions that there is a Vita version.
COME AT ME BRO.
@SQEX_Me
It’s old news. and it’s not a hint, PSVita is compatible with PSP games through download, actually that makes a port less likely when the game is playable in it’s current form.
@miladesn
OK, thanks for heads up. Still, he’s playing the game on PSVita when the console isn’t even out yet in Japan. How? Also, how did he manage to get the right stick working with the game if it wasn’t code running on PSVita and not emulated?
developers like Square Enix have access to hardware long before it comes out or even is announced to public.
PSP games on PSVita run through emulation, the game doesn’t need to be ported for it to work. It was announced at TGS that you can change how right analog stick functions in PSP games on PSVita, read this story

so if you map it to d-pad for example you can control the camera with it in Type-0! just like a console game with dual shock.
@ miladesn
OK, thanks for all the info. I get exactly what you’re saying now. Well, I guess that still means it will likely be a PSP game when it comes to the West and not a PSVita title. Great news for me as I just bought a PSP E1000.
Well, he played type-0 in the PSVITA
But type-1 will still come out to the ps3 right?
i didn’t know that’s how the psv works. that’s a really great news.
@LordGfet: where did it say that type-1 will be on ps3?
If i recall the producer said that if it had a sequel for type-0 it would be likely to the console
