Alright go Dissidia! How did Duodecim do? And still no localization on Type O? I’ve been playing the japaneese one and it’s officially one of my favorite battle system from a FF game.

  • dan hibiki

Sounds good enough to make an english localization…what SE is afraid of?

    286,117 / 454,522 – Dissidia 012: Final Fantasy

A digital release and the fact that the game was basically a “Super” version of the original title contribute to the more lopsided numbers.

  • lalik

Wow Duodecim and 3rd Birthday didn’t do so well compare to the others, hmm maybe that’s why SE is not releasing Type O over here, the sells in Japan have decreased quite a bit.

  • lalik

But Type O DID sell pretty well though, considering what I’ve said above.

  • Aluminah

Sales for Type-0 will likely increase when Christmas arrives.

  • Aluminah

Also, we’re talking about a double-UMD release that nearly costs double the amount of a regular PSP game and still it almost reached an equal amount of sales compared with Crisis Core.
I’d say the game is doing great

  • AntagonistGB

That’s sort of depressing. Birth By Sleep deserves to be above Crisis Core and (from what I’ve seen of the game) Type-0.

  • I bet that SE is waiting for it to be a Vita release. Specially cause it could sell extra-exceptionally well being a release title.

  • Monkae

Thats EXACTLY WHAT I’VE BEEN THINKING. They really wanna push the vita, I mean SE has already decided to remake FFX for vita, why not put another title into? Besides with Vita coming out soon, if there are sequels to Type 0 which would most likely happen, they’ll be on the Vita consoles anyway.

I just really pity western psp players like me who want the game so bad. I mean Vita doesnt even seem that great with a short battery life span.

  • YonKitoTaoshibe

Wow. Dissidia beat FFVII:CC? Didn’t know that.

Dissidia was pretty good. I remember when I first saw the promo case in LameStop months before it came out. I basically decided that despite it being 39.99 I was going to buy it at that instant. It seems that I wasn’t alone, either.
I pretty much felt the same way towards DDFF, but less fanatically. I knew the price and pretty much everything that was available here, and I figured I’d buy the sequel as soon as it came out in stores. I’d like to see the numbers on that one.

  • gmoyajp

Type-0 story is very very great!! i really glad as a western, i decided to study japanese 8 years ago love importing and anyways to bad for USA and europ.

collectors edition was well worth it!

  • lalik

Yep yep collectors edition was worth it.

  • TheExile285

Can’t believe Duodecim sold so low. It’s more than a “super release” or “expansion”. It’s an awesome game with loads of new content.
