Final Fantasy Type-0 HD Out Now

March 17th, 2015 by Tony Garsow

It’s been a long time coming, but Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is finally out today in North America. Square Enix has prepared the launch trailer above for the occasion and we at Final Fantasy Network have both a review and a new fan magazine collaborative for you to peruse.

The Final Fantasy XV Episode Duscae demo is also along for the ride, and fans are now getting a taste of the newest title in the numbered franchise too.

We want you to weigh in — what are you enjoying in either of these games? Sound off by leaving us in the comments below!

Tony are you gonna do a FF XV demo review? I hope so. I’ve been playing it all day, pretty damn great but noticing lots of flaws. Camera needs work. combat is a bit repetitive. Haven’t got the summon yet. Dungeon only has goblins. nice lack of variety there. can’t fight catoblepas. but despite all that, I love it. There’s a lot more to like than to nitpick at

We’ll be doing a write-up soon – but first I think we’ll do a couple of days where we stream it. I’ll be sharing plans on that soon.

Played both today, not sure about Type-0 yet, there seems to be a LOT of content there for me and I’ve only scratched the surface.
With XV It’s great but I feel it’s not going to be received THAT well. Like Josh says, combat is a little repetitive but come on, it’s final fantasy, combat has always been that way.
I found that the more I played it and understood what was going on though I was enjoying myself more. I like the weapon system and I feel like they could probably use preset loadouts so you can easily change between them.
Another thing that I feel could bring up issues is the level up system where you level up by resting at camp and not after every battle, I kinda dug it though, it felt more….rewarding, I guess.
The one thing that bothered me was the camera, It’s kinda all over the place at times during combat and I’m still slightly confused with locking on/targeting (from both games). Also I feel that it’s probably too ?close, I found while running through a forest or grass lands that tall grass or other objects would block my view.
    2 cents, here, have them.
