Theatrhythym sports over 50 music tracks

July 12th, 2011 by Tony Garsow

Theatrhytym: Final Fantasy will have over fifty music tracks to accompany the 3DS game’s rhythym-based gameplay. Via Famitsu it seems that the game was originally planned for the DS, but due to sound quality and storage space issues, the project eventually moved to the 3DS. The main characters from Final Fantasy I through Final Fantasy XIII will appear in addition to guest and mascot characters such as “Cid (wasn’t specific on which one!) and Chocobo”.

Theatrhythym’s gameplay will include different colored waves that will direct you to tap or swipe depending on the situation. Mellower tracks will also be featured in addition to faster paced “battle” tracks.

A release date is currently pending for this winter.
