Another week, another batch of Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy DLC is available for the 3DS title on the eShop. The following tracks will be available on April 28th for 150 yen each. Sample each through the links below:
Launching tomorrow on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live, Final Fantasy XIII-2 will get two DLC additions to the Coliseum as well as two new costumes for Serah and Noel. A new encounter with Gilgamesh, as well as a battle with the PuPu aliens from Final Fantasy VIII can be seen in the videos below. The new outfits are crossover promotions from Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed series, and Japanese pop group AKB48.
New from Masashi Hamauzu’s MONOMUSIK and Wayô Records, comes “Black Ocean” — the debut album of IMERUAT. The album features composers, arrangers, and performers for Final Fantasy XIII and XIII-2.
Masashi Hamauzu is known for composing for Final Fantasy X, XIII, and XIII-2 as well as a handful of other recognizable Square Enix titles such as Unlimited SaGa. While his compositions feature a more impressionist flair than fellow Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematsu, Hamauzu has definitely made his mark on the Final Fantasy universe with songs like “Blinded by Light”.
Mina is a recognizable voice for anyone who has played Final Fantasy XIII or XIII-2. You can hear her voice undulating in tracks such as “Battle Results”, “Will to Fight”, and “Sulyya Springs”. Devoted to the recognition of Ainu culture in Japan, Mina gave the group its name “Imeruat” — which translates to “Lightning” in English.
Mitsuto Suzuki as another up and coming composer in the Final Fantasy series, most notably being featured in Final Fantasy XIII-2. Previously arranging music for Konami’s Zone of the Enders and Square Enix titles such as The 4 Heroes of Light. Previously to XIII-2, Suzuki composed, arranged, and even performed in a majority of music for 2011′s The 3rd Birthday for PSP.
Along with Ippiqui Takemoto, Toru Tabei, and Hijiri Kawano, IMERUAT recently performed songs from their new album “Black Ocean” at the Fantasy Rock Fes (a music festival organized by Nobuo Uematsu) last month. Below you can see the group introduce themselves and perform songs composed by Hamauzu in dress rehearsal.
There are even a few songs from Final Fantasy XIII in the video below!

Lightning, Hope, Sazh, and Noel sport clothing designed. You can view the results of this collaboration below:
“Our Spring issue focuses on a world of direction and escapism, and having a visually stunning videogame franchise such as FINAL FANTASY work alongside us and a leading fashion brand like Prada to create something so unique is incredible. We’re incredibly pleased with the result.” — Max Pearmain, Editor of Arena Homme+.
“The FINAL FANTASY series is known for its creativity and innovation; so working with Prada, a renowned fashion house with such beautiful clothing was a very exciting opportunity. The images we have been able to create together are vibrant and unique.” — Yoshinori Kitase, Final Fantasy XIII-2 Producer.

A release date has been narrowed down to the month of May.
As we previously reported, Final Fantasy XIII-2‘s Serah and Noel will be getting new outfits soon — designed after the N7 armor from the Mass Effect series.
