“Our Spring issue focuses on a world of direction and escapism, and having a visually stunning videogame franchise such as FINAL FANTASY work alongside us and a leading fashion brand like Prada to create something so unique is incredible. I’ve always been interested by the power of videogames and their place in society, and the amount of work that’s gone into this project blows my mind. We’re incredibly pleased with the result.” — Max Pearmain, Editor of Arena Homme+.

“The FINAL FANTASY series is known for its creativity and innovation; so working with Prada, a renowned fashion house with such beautiful clothing was a very exciting opportunity. Sony Asia reveals a new FFXIII-2 weapon DLC

Thursday, March 1st, 2012

It looks like Final Fantasy XIII-2‘s Noel Kreiss will be getting a new weapon DLC next week according to Sony Asia. The weapon “Muramasa” will increase Noel’s chain bonus, and will likely be a PlayStation 3 exclusive weapon like how the Azrael weapon for Serah is exclusive to the 360 version. Sony Asia lists the launch date for this DLC weapon as Tuesday, March 6th. Here are a few (blurry) screenshots of what to expect.

Update: It also appears that the Genji Bow and Catastrophe Blade for Serah and Noel will be available on the Asia PlayStation Network on March 6th. Since North America and Europe both have had these weapons (Genji Bow and Muramasa respectively) available as pre-order bonuses at different retailers, it’s a bit unclear if this DLC release will be exclusive to the Asia region or the PlayStation 3.
