Matsuno comments on Level-5 projects

June 30th, 2011 by Tony Garsow

From his Twitter, the father of Ivalice Yasumi Matsuno commented on his new role developing games with Level-5. He issued this statement, translated to English:

“To my English-speaking followers, some personal news: as you may have heard, I have joined game developer Level-5 Inc. I received an offer to work on a project, and when [Akihiro Hino] and I hit it off, it seemed like a natural fit for me to join. Unfortunately, I can’t talk details about any current projects. Apologies in advance if I can’t answer your questions… What I can say is that I don’t intend to work on anything too epic in scale for now. “Short stories,” not “novels,” with short dev. cycles. I hope to make games that aren’t targeted specifically for kids (or adults) but games that can be enjoyed by all ages. There will be an official announcement when we’re ready, so please wait for that, and heartfelt thanks for all your support!” – Yasumi Matsuno
