Final Fantasy Record Keeper’s Debut Trailer

August 10th, 2014 by Tony Garsow

Last month Square Enix revealed Final Fantasy Record Keeper, a smartphone game that will feature many of the “classic battles” in the Final Fantasy franchise re-imagined in the 16-bit era style. To restore these “records”, the titular record keeper Deci (with help from Dr. Mog), is tasked with entering each of the different worlds in the series. You’ll be able to recruit characters for combat and level them up, collecting equipment and abilities on the way.

Final Fantasy Record Keeper is currently announced for iOS and Android in Japan.

I thought they mentioned a while back that they wanted to shy away from this kind of stuff? Regardless, if they’re going to make games like this, why not do more like Final Fantasy Dimensions? That was one of the best games I’ve played in a long time because it brought me back to the old stuff. (My only gripe was that I wish it had been on a regular system because it would have been easier to control for this old man!)

There’s no FF11 either, its just about Single-player FF.
