Catch up on FF Dimensions before release

August 29th, 2012 by Tony Garsow

Final Fantasy Dimensions releases for iOS devices on August 31st to coincide with the Final Fantasy 25th Anniversary Event on the same day. If you’re largely in the dark about this title, now’s your chance to get caught up on a throwback to classic Final Fantasy — particularly from the Super Nintendo era.

The official website has updated to include backgrounds on the warriors of light and darkness, the job system and the different characters you’ll meet in your travels. A brief description of each individual chapter as the game is provided as they can all be separately purchased and downloaded. The prologue chapter is free, with the first chapter set at $2.99. Chapters two through four are $9.99 each. If you want it all one go — the price tag is $28.99.

as great as this game looks and I certainly am excited for it, but to me it feel way overpriced. $30 for a iPhone game?!? I’ve never spent more than $5 on an iPhone game and that was Lego Harry Potter, and it was a pretty full game. This, although the quality will undoubtedly be high, just doesn’t seem worth that high price especially with NES style graphics. I can’t imagine that being overly expensive to produce. Idk, I was so excited about this title, but now that I know the price, I’m gonna have to wait or not get it at all with school and other expenses in the way. If it was designed for a handled or console, I’d definitely be more inclined to pay that price, but not for a phone…

iono At least it’s not a full $40 like other handheld releases. It’s under $30 for the full game.
