Yusuke Naora, best known as the art director for the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIII, Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy Type-0, The Last Remnant and Final Fantasy XV, revealed on his Twitter earlier today that he has resigned from Square Enix.

In his tweets, he states that as of September 30th, after 24 years at Square Enix he is leaving and returning home to his family in his hometown of Izumo. “Yesterday, Taba-chan kindly showed me the ending to Final Fantasy XV. It was my last work, and it is the best ending,” Naora mentioned in his tweets about his final day at the office. “Everybody is amazing! It really is the greatest work.”

He will continue to do illustrations and design work for Square Enix in the future.

Naora started working at Square Enix back in 1993 and has worked on various titles and series like Chrono Trigger, SaGa, Chaos Rings, Front Mission, and Final Fantasy.
