You guys realize how much of a ripoff this is, right? Nothing in this set justifies that price. How can any of you still be on board with the whole Lightning saga thing anyway? Did you not PLAY XIII-2?

  • Leo

I want this… I think Lightning is my ideal sister \\ like the game but love Lightning 😉

  • Aaron

I’m sorry but this is completely justifed. Each game is £40, the figure is at least £40 as is the soundtrack, and the artwork will run you £20 at least as well. So the price is very reasonable, and for people who love XIII like me need a conclusion to the story and Square Enix is providing that which I am very happy with. Just because a few people don’t like doesn’t mean it’s right for them to say I don’t want this it’s shit.

Sorry but the store -I- work at FFXIII-2 is AU$15 and XIII is probably the same, so you could get the two previous games for about $30. I reckon the figure to be around $100 and the soundtrack $40-ish, new game $89. That addes up to $259…………..oh ….. Well….
It would be cool to have, I might consider if it gets a EU/AU release but … I’ve got both collectors edition of the first 2 and I reallllly can’t see this being any better….maybe, except for the lightning figure but then again, play-arts figures are a little weak. BLARGH …

  • Ehren Rivers

Yeah. If we go by current prices XIII and XIII-2 could be picked up used for between $15 and $20 (US) depending on were you live and how many copies are available (we’ll say $30 for both). The ‘standard’ edition of Lightning Returns is priced at 7,700 Yen, or roughly $78 US. (I think it’s actually around 77.50 but I’m rounding up to the nearest dollar) The individual OSTs seem to sell new for anywhere between $40 and $60 US, so we’ll split the difference for this ‘selection’ and call it $50. The PlayArts figurine is priced at 8,800 Yen according to the Square Enix JP store. This is approximately $88 US (Closer to 87.90), but keep in mind that this is a SPECIAL version of the figurine that appears to be exclusive to this Ultimate Box Edition. The outside of her leg and back capes appear to have been changed from white and tan/gold to black and red, and she’s got a special sword and shield. An extra $12 US isn’t unreasonable (for an even 100). If we go with the regular figure’s price though…

The total with the varying number sets from above pops up to about $236 US MINIMUM and $278 US MAXIMUM. Putting the XIII/XIII-2 to minimum ($30 total), the OST to midground ($50), and the PA figure to a special price of $100 sets the bill at about $258 US. Throw in the art book, and I think it’s pretty fair.

  • Tony Garsow

    That pic is fake.

  • AgitoXIII

I’m glad you cleared that up Tony…
