Final Fantasy IV smartphone-bound this month

December 7th, 2012 by Tony Garsow

Final Fantasy IV joins the smartphone Final Fantasy collection on December 20th (worldwide) starting with iOS powered devices including iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad. This version will include a special interface to navigate the world and select commands in combat, as well as an easy mode for players that want to casually enjoy the title. Japanese, English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Chinese languages are supported. The game will run you 1800 yen or, roughly converted, $22USD. We’re expecting a $19.99 price tag, though.

An Android version is planned for 2013, though a formal release date has yet to be announced.

    Ya lets bring ff3 ds to the psp then not bring ff4 ds to psp. That’s retarded, i thought, sweet they brought 3 to psp bet they’re gonna bring 4. nope another douche move by square!

    FFIV has to be the most released FF ever. I guess alot of stuff is slowing becoming digital as I figured.

    @WOW

    Not really WOW. Don’t worry about IVDS on PSP. That version looks like crap. The only good things about it are it’s neat Augment system and the extra boss.

    Just get FFIVCC for PSP. It has great looking sprites and also has the sequel + Interlude chapter.

    @AgitoXIII i know that but i wanted both lol and i wanted that version of iv on psp so i could play it on my vita :(

  • @WOW

    FF3 went to the DS, then iOS then PSP. if anything, this should give you hope that it may eventually make it over to that system (or the vita)

    also, psp is a dying market, while iOS is thriving. That’s not retarded or a douche move, that’s good business.
