A new round of screenshots and artwork from the upcoming PSP port of Final Fantasy III are now available, showing off how the game will look on Sony’s handheld. Included in the screenshots is an image of the English language option, which will allow Japanese players to play the game with the English translation — and for Japanese-wary importers to perhaps get their hands on a copy early, since the PSP is region free.
Final Fantasy III PSP will be available September 20th in Japan.

DS, iOS, Android, PSP… all of them are basically indistinguishable from each other.
Yes, but for those who only have one of those systems — it’ll be a chance for them to play a great classic Final Fantasy.
Seriously…
I have the one on DS and iPad, and all I can see are poorly rendered, over-pixelated graphics, and difficult movement controls. I love the game, but a straight port of the original, but with translation, might have been better.
Why this port of a port of a remake got translated and not Type-0?
@Marcus, I thought the NDS port was actually quite good, and I had no problem with the controls. I could see how iOS might have control-related issues, but that’s due to having a touch screen. In the NDS, the touchscreen was optional, you could play the entire game using the regular D-PAD and buttons and opt not to use the stylus at all.
I’m looking forward to the PSP re-release, and if they don’t bring overseas, I’ll probably import it considering the option to use the English translation.

You seem sure that the game will be localized.
