Final Fantasy III headed to Ouya next year

July 31st, 2012 by Tony Garsow

Final Fantasy III is currently on the Android platform (as of June 27th in North America), so today’s reveal that Ouya support will be available in March 2013 may not come as a huge surprise. Ouya is a home console designed to run games off the Android platform for your TV, and you can find more about it here.

On a related note, the official cover art for the Japanese version of the PSP game has been released:

    Beautiful box art.

  2. Japanese version using full coloured box art? That’s surprising.

nobody can even begin to comprehend how much i love this boxart! :P
btw 3 is by far my fav in the series.
first, it was my first i’ve ever played (DS version)
second, its extreme difficulty, that game was sh*t hard!
after finishing that i felt like i could pretty much destroy every game that came in my path.

my only gripe is that, although i love it and want as many people to play it as possible, i think Square is trying too hard to port it to other systems. I understand that that although was the last to be localized, but pretty much everybody played it already. i feel that Square should be focusing its efforts on breaking big into the new generation of consoles, and if square really wanted to release it again, make it a vita olny downloadable title.
that would grab my intrest :D

the counterpoint to that though would be that pretty much everyybody in japan has a psp, and i really dont know how to argue with that :P
