It's hard to say cause they are all so good. The first one I played was X and loved it but when I played 7 I found the story more interesting. VII has almost everything, good characters, good story, good battle system, etc. X has almost everything just maybe a little too linear. Mostly everyone picks out of VII and X anyway.

People said near the beginning that the introduction game of the Final Fantasy videogames are generally peoples favorite...well, I guess, im one who breaks the mold. I started with Final Fantasy VII on the PS1. Then I played FF8 on the PC...well, I voted for FF8. Hmm...it wasn't the first introduction that made it for me. It was the second!!
I guess it is because I can somewhat identify with Squall - a loner who seeked to rely on myself. (I was someone who was picked on, so I kinda became introverted). Then through friends and experiences, I came to learn how to rely, not depend (there is a difference) on others for help. I couldn't do everything by myself. So in a way, I went through a less dramatic version of what Squall went through (though, a GF [not Guardian force...the OTHER GF...] like Rinoa...not so lucky...yet...lol). But for the ones i've played the order of fav's from fav to least: FF8, FF9, FF7, FF10, FF Adventure 2 (GB), FF Adventure III (GB)...then the rest are mixed. Never played 12 or 13, and I have not played 11 due to that it is an MMORPG and I refuse to play the monthly fee (lol) -------------------- RPCharacters.

Final Fantasy VIII introduced me but if it werent for IX and tactics I wouldnt play Final Fantasy so I have to go with Tactics as my favorite and IX as a close second

FFVII, it was the first one I've ever played and that's what got me started into the series.

X.
To me, its the best journey in any FF game, and it's got the biggest emotional hook in the series. It wasnt even the first FF I played and whilst I don't think it's the best, it's definitely my favourite. -------------------- ![]() |

Most peoples favourate Final Fantasy will often be the first one they played which is why Final Fantasy X is my favourate. To me 7 and 9 are better but X introduced me to the series which is why i choose that. ActuallyFFX introduced me, but it's by far my least favorite. I love 12, and my 2nd favei s X-2, 3rd is FF9. I'm gonna download VII for my pc when I get a better internet connection and play it finally. |

I haven't completed X, X-2, or XII yet, so I couldn't really factor those into my vote. It was really close between VII and IX for me, but my vote goes to VII. FFVII, in my opinion, was a huge turning point for the series, and I've been able to play that game over and over and never get bored with it. I absolutely loved the Materia system, and the overall flow of the game was great. FFIX was a consideration because of its creativity. The characters were very unique, lots of great detail in the game, and lots of fun side games. It was a close second.

FFVII, it was the first one I've ever played and that's what got me started into the series. Same, except it wasn't just the game that got me started in the series it was also the game that got into video games period -------------------- ~Friends are the people that bail you out of jail, but best friends are the ones sitting next to you in the cell saying that was fun lets do it again~
