FFIV PSP’s new chapter bridges both stories

Wednesday, February 23rd, 2011

When Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection was announced for the PSP, we learned that there would be a new chapter in between Final Fantasy IV’s scenario and The After Years’ scenario. Famitsu detailed a bit more this week, revealing the scenario called “Final Fantasy IV Interlude” would put players back in the role of Cecil Harvey after the events of Final Fantasy IV and before The After Years. He and other characters from the compilation gather in Damcyan to celebrate the kingdom’s reconstruction. The story was supervised by Takashi Tokita, lead designer of Final Fantasy IV and producer of The After Years. The game will feature an artwork gallery and a cinematic theater as well as the option for players to switch soundtracks between the original and arranged versions. March 24th is the official Japanese release date.
