Bravely Default’s Job Masters revealed

May 3rd, 2012 by Tony Garsow

This week’s issue of Jump features more information on the job system in Bravely Default: Flying Fairy for the Nintendo 3DS. The game features a classic Final Fantasy job system with classes like Black Mage, White Mage, and Monk. Each job has a Job Master, adepts who must be challenged and defeated to obtain the class for your party.

Seen in the scan below, these three Job Masters belong to the nation of Etrania’s air force. When you change jobs in battle, you’ll also change outfits — and that goes for the two revealed protagonists so far: Tiz Oria and Agnes Oblige. Tiz was a shepherd boy whose homeland is consumed by a catastrophe, causing a hole to appear in the world where darkness seeps out. Agnes is the guardian of the crystal, and sets out on a journey to save the world from it’s impending fate.

Take a look in the scan below!

The poll “Getting a 3DS for Theatrythm?” needs an “I’d rather get a 3DS for Bravely Default” option.

Well, I geuss this is just another Final Fantasy spin-off then? I was expecting something new, geuss not.

Essentially, yes. It’s a sequel of The 4 Heroes of Light: FInal Fantasy.

^I was wondering the same thing. Is this like a pseudo FF game or something???

Yes my friends, this game is a Final Fantasy game in everything but the name. Do you remember The 4 Heroes of Light? It was a classic styled game with jobs, turn-based combats and an overall “NES-era atmosphere” surrounding it. And Bravely Default is his direct sequel.

I’m really looking forward for this game, I liked the atmosphere of his prequel.
