Bravely Default TV spot hits the airwaves

October 3rd, 2012 by Tony Garsow

Only a week separates us from the Japanese release of Bravely Default: Flying Fairy, Square Enix’s new classic RPG for the 3DS. The four heroes: Tizz, Idea, Ringabel, and Agnes will unite to save the land of Luxendarc from plunging into chaos by restoring the light of the crystal. If that sounds a bit familiar, it should!

The game will feature a robust job system akin to Final Fantasy V, and battle functions on the Brave and Default system — where “Default”ing to build Brave points will result in consecutive actions in a turn. Quite useful in a pinch, and especially since you can mix and match abilities from many jobs. Other players’ characters can join you in battle as a summon sequence (although the game has five of it’s own traditional summon monsters) with the job they’ve chosen.

Bravely Default: Flying Fairy releases on October 11th for Japan.
