Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light released yesterday for those of us living in North American territories and will release this Friday for our European and PAL territory counterparts. A Nintendo DS game designed as a throwback to the NES era of Final Fantasy, The 4 Heroes of Light features a charming fairytale story of four youths who are given the power of the crystal to defeat the evil that is harming the people of their world. The game features a gorgeous storybook design and characters that can freely change between 28 different classes. Battles are also nostalgic of the NES era Final Fantasy games, but bring a new twist all the same.
Square-Enix is marking the occassion by launching a new competition in which you can submit your own Crown (Job) designs to potentially win a DS and a copy of the game. Plus, if you win, illustrator Yuka Miyamoto will personally design your job and abilities you submit! You must be signed up at the official Square-Enix Members page to enter, and the deadline is October 26th. You can learn more here.
